Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Locums - IN

Duration: Ongoing, covering 20 weeks over the next year

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: 7-day blocks (Thursday 5:00 PM to Thursday 5:00 PM)
• Coverage Needed: Approximately 20 weeks per year (2 out of every 5 weeks), distributed throughout the year
• Call: 24-hour on-call coverage during assignment

• Duties:

  • Inpatient consults and rounding
  • Inpatient GI procedures (e.g., EGD, colonoscopy)
  • Participation in patient care coordination with hospital teams

Practice Setting:

• Well-established GI practice with 3 permanent full-time physicians
• Robust hospital support for GI services
• Collegial team environment with a strong commitment to quality care

Requirements:

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology
• Active IN medical license or IMLC
• Availability for 7-day assignments with 24-hour call
• Comfort with inpatient procedures and high-acuity consults
