Locums Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician in California - Fast Credentialing, Weekly Pay

Locums OB Hospitalist in California with in house 24 hour laborist coverage and a manageable average delivery volume. You will cover Labor and Delivery plus ED consults.

Highlights

• up to 8 shifts per month, structured as 24 hour in house laborist shifts
• Emergency privileges available for providers with a clean background
• Average 1 to 3 deliveries per day, occasional higher volume days up to 6
• Backup available from the other OB group in town when needed

Practice Setting

• Inpatient coverage for Labor and Delivery and ED, including emergent GYN consults
• Patient population includes adolescents through adults
• Supported by hospital staff, with coordination between OB groups for backup coverage
• Coverage need is due to staffing coverage

Schedule

• 24 hour laborist shifts
• In house call coverage, 7a to 7a
• Target coverage is 8 shifts per month
• Start date target is early November/December 2026

Cases and Procedures

• Vaginal deliveries and C sections
• D and Cs, ectopic pregnancies
• Emergent GYN cases, must be comfortable performing emergency GYN procedures
• Coverage includes ED and Labor and Delivery department needs

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• California medical license required, will not wait for license
• DEA required
