Family Medicine with Obstetrics Opportunity in Northeastern Iowa
Practice full-spectrum family medicine with obstetrics in a welcoming rural community where your work makes a meaningful difference. A community hospital in northeastern Iowa is seeking a Family Medicine physician with Obstetrics to join its hospital-employed rural health clinic team.
Practice Overview
- Join a collegial rural health clinic team of 7 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers, with additional support from hospital-based specialists, surgeons, hospitalists, and emergency medicine physicians.
- Provide outpatient family medicine and obstetrical care, including OB call, deliveries, and rounding on obstetrical patients and newborns
- Join an established team that completed 132 deliveries in 2025 with opportunities to grow through regional outreach and clinical partnerships
- C-section training is not required. Physicians with C-section privileges may perform their own C-sections with General Surgery backup. Physicians who do not perform C-sections have dependable 24/7 C-section coverage with anesthesia support
- Practice in a beautiful, state-of-the-art medical clinic, featuring abundant natural light, modern clinical technology, and thoughtfully designed spaces

- Collaborate with a licensed mental health counselor within the rural health clinic, providing accessible behavioral health care, including support for mothers during pregnancy and postpartum

Schedule
- Four-day workweek for full-time employment
- Part-time opportunities are also available
- OB call is shared equitably among the OB providers

Compensation & Benefits
- $400,000 base salary guaranteed for two years, plus wRVU-based production bonuses
- 5,700 wRVU threshold
- Negotiable sign-on bonus with relocation
- IPERS defined-benefit pension, providing lifetime monthly retirement income
- 403(b) retirement plan
- $7,000 annual CME allowance and five CME days.
- 25 days of annual PTO
- Six paid holidays when they fall on a regularly scheduled workday

$400K–$550K
