Practice Overview
- You’ll join an employed cardiology team with 2 Interventional, 2 General/Non-Invasive, 1 EP, and 5 APPs (expansion goal: 7-8 physicians)
- Single-hospital coverage with optional outreach clinics typically within ~30 minutes
- Coronary + peripheral interventions in the same lab; PAD growth welcomed and supported
- Clear runway to help build Structural Heart (TAVR, Watchman, TEER/MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure) with administrative capital support
Schedule
- Typical mix of 1-3 cath lab days/week and 1–3 clinic days/week (adjusts with growth and your focus)
- Clinic pace around 20-25 patients/day; inpatient consults estimated 10-15/day
- STEMI call currently about 1:3 with a stated goal to move toward 1:4; general/group call around 1:6
- Night/weekend APP coverage available; weekend rounding may be needed depending on service demands
Compensation & Benefits
- Base guarantee starting at $700,000+ with production over threshold; $60/RVU conversion factor
- Sign-on bonus $50,000+ (goes up with experience) ; relocation assistance up to $10,000; fellowship stipend available ($1,000-$3,000/month, negotiable)
- Time off: 5 weeks total PTO; CME allowance $3,000
- Retirement contribution: 4% of annual base salary; malpractice coverage included
Candidate Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist
- Comfortable with STEMI call, inpatient consults, and building volume quickly from established referrals
- Peripheral/PAD interest is a plus; Structural Heart interest or training is strongly preferred
- Motivated by program development within an employed, single-hospital model
