Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity in KY
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join our community-focused team in Kentucky. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physician or recent residency graduate who is looking for a supportive, high-acuity environment with competitive compensation and work-life balance.
Practice Details:
- 40-bed ED with advanced technology, including Trauma, Behavioral Health, and Fast Track rooms
- Level III Trauma Center certified in sepsis, stroke, and ACS, with a Level III NICU
- ED sees approximately 60,000 visits annually
- Average of 15–20 patients per 9-hour shift
- Join a team of 14 Emergency Medicine physicians and 9 Advanced Practice Clinicians
- Full-spectrum care with hospitalist backup and strong specialty support
- Opportunity to teach as part of the Family Medicine Residency Program
** Schedule:**
- Flexible schedule of 182 nine-hour shifts per year (~15/month)
- Staggered shifts proportionally split between days, swing, and nights
- Double physician coverage on days/evenings; 3 physicians on at night
** Compensation & Benefits:**
- Base salary of $466,830 annually, plus up to $75,000 upfront bonus and $20,000 engagement bonus
- Extra shifts paid at a $30/hour premium
- Up to $100K in student loan repayment ($25K/year over 4 years)
- Residency stipend available
- Malpractice insurance with 3-year tail coverage
