Infectious Disease Opportunity in Sacramento, California

A rapidly expanding outpatient Infectious Disease program in Sacramento is seeking a visionary ID Physician to play a pivotal role in shaping our clinical direction. Beyond managing an outpatient panel, you will actively guide program expansion, establish clinical protocols, broaden HIV prevention initiatives (PrEP/PEP), and directly improve care access for a high-need, underserved community.



Practice Overview

  • You’ll lead an outpatient infectious disease program focused on HIV, Hepatitis B/C, PrEP, and STI prevention and treatment
  • Work alongside a dedicated medical assistant and patient navigator while collaborating with primary care, psychiatry, and substance use providers
  • See approximately 8-16 patients per day with a mix of in-person visits and virtual consults for residential program patients
  • Help establish clinical protocols, expand injectable HIV/PrEP therapies, and educate primary care physicians across the organization

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday schedule with clinic hours from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • 100% outpatient practice with no inpatient responsibilities
  • Call responsibilities included
  • Consistent weekday schedule supports work-life balance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary of $300,000
  • Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease
  • Comfortable managing HIV, Hepatitis B/C, PrEP, and other infectious diseases in an outpatient setting
  • Interest in developing clinical protocols and expanding HIV prevention initiatives
  • Passion for providing comprehensive sexual health services and caring for underserved patient populations
