Psychiatry Locums Physician – Near Houston, Texas - No Call or Weekends

Adult corrections psychiatry role in Texas, near Houston.

Highlights:

• No call, no weekends, no overtime
• Full-time, long-term opportunity
• Low-volume corrections care; ~5 encounters/day

Practice Setting:

• Adult male correctional facility (low custody levels)
• Mix of inpatient and outpatient care
• General population only; no forensic unit
• Supervision of mid-level psych providers included

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, full-time, 40 hours/week
• Flexible start/end times (e.g., 6:30–3 or 9:30–6)
• Ongoing fall and winter start dates
• Credentialing takes 60–90 days

Cases and Procedures:

• Psychiatric, physical, and neurological evaluations
• Medication management and due process hearings
• Forensic experience not required

Requirements:

• MD or DO, BC/BE in Psychiatry
• Active Texas license preferred; open to IMLC psychiatrists
• BLS and DEA required
