Practice Overview
- You’ll join a hospital-employed team in a 76-bed community hospital with a modern ED built for procedural volume and acuity
- 2-3 APPs supporting staggered throughout the day
- ED averages 60-70 visits/day with full trauma spectrum; admissions ~13%
- Well-resourced unit with dedicated trauma bays, monitored beds, psych unit, and on-site CT
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts (6a-6p and 6p-6a); full-time defined as 12 shifts/month (144 hours)
- Flexible cadence options: plug-and-play or customized stretch models (3, 4, 5, or 7 days)
- Additional shifts available for extra pay if desired
- No in-house call; hospitalists and tele-intensivists cover the open ICU
Compensation & Benefits
- EM-trained physicians earn $462,000 base with $50,000 quality bonus and $300/hour for extra shifts
- $25,000 sign-on and $15,000 relocation support included
- $5,000 CME stipend plus full suite of benefits: 401(k) with match, malpractice with tail, and comprehensive health coverage
Candidate Requirements
- Board-eligible or certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM preferred)
- Will consider FM/IM-trained physicians with significant ED experience
- Must be confident practicing independently in a high-acuity rural ED
- Strong procedural comfort required; teamwork and community alignment essential
