Position Overview:
A premier regional pediatric health system and academic medical center in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join a dedicated, collaborative division.
This role offers a blend of complex clinical practice, resident and fellow teaching, and leadership potential within a dual-designated Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. Incoming faculty join ahead of the late-2027 opening of a brand-new, 14-story, state-of-the-art replacement children’s hospital featuring cutting-edge surgical suites.
Practice & Compensation Highlights:
- Guaranteed Base & Rank-Based Income: Competitive faculty salary range based on academic rank, with standard clinical duties operating on a balanced 2:1 supervision ratio with CRNAs and residents.
- New Facility Transition: Join ahead of the late-2027 opening of a brand-new, 14-story, 200-bed replacement hospital equipped with state-of-the-art operating suites and advanced surgical technology.
- Upfront Sign-On Bonuses: $20,000 Sign-on Bonus upon hire, plus a realistic Group Performance Bonuses: attainable productivity targets projected to deliver dditional yearly income.
- Subspecialty Teams & Fellowships: Participation on pediatric cardiac or liver transplant teams provides an extra $50,000/year stipend, with on-the-job cardiac fellowship training available for interested candidates (offering 1:1 direct care for complex subspecialty cases).
Manageable Call & Premium Overtime Rates:
- In-house trauma coverage structured into manageable 12-hour shifts, with an equitable distribution of call coverage
- Extra voluntary call shifts compensated at $3,600 per 12-hour shift.
- Hourly overtime rates of $250/hr on weekdays (after 5:00 PM) and $300/hr on weekends.
- Backup home call includes a daily stipend, paying a $1,500 call-in fee + $300/hr if called in.
- Substantial Loan Assistance & PSLF: Employer student loan repayment up to $100,000 ($20,000/year), plus full eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) under non-profit 501(c)(3) status.
