Family Medicine Opportunity in Kenai, AK

You’ll step into an outpatient primary care role in Kenai with an integrated, team-based model and strong onsite resources. This is a Family Medicine opportunity with a broad scope across adult and pediatric primary care, including women’s health and minor procedures. Practice Overview

  • Outpatient-only tribal primary care practice using a holistic, team-based model of care
  • Integrated support onsite, including behavioral health, pharmacy consults, case management, PT/OT, optometry, dental, traditional healers, and wellness programming
  • Typical volume of 12-14 patients/day (adjusted for complexity) with emphasis on personalized care
  • Scope includes preventive care, chronic disease management, women’s health/prenatal services, joint injections, wound/fracture care, and minor procedures

Schedule

  • Clinic operates Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM
  • Choose 5x8s (M-F, 8am-5pm) or 4x10s
  • No traditional call
  • Work a Saturday about once per month, with one weekday off that week

Compensation & Benefits

  • Employed W-2 with guaranteed base salary starting at $230,000; bonus structure (no RVU-based productivity model)
  • $25,000 sign-on bonus plus $25,000 retention bonus paid at the end of a 3-year contract
  • Benefits: medical/dental/vision with 90% of premiums paid; 401(k) with 7% employer match
  • Time off & CME: 8 weeks PTO (for 8-hour schedule) or 6.5 weeks PTO (for 10-hour schedule); $5,000 CME allowance plus 5 paid CME days; relocation provided (up to 18,000 lbs and one vehicle)

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (with plans to certify)
  • Comfort with broad outpatient primary care across adults and children
  • Interest in women’s health/prenatal services and minor procedures (e.g., joint injections, wound/fracture care)
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and willingness to embrace Native Alaskan traditions and values
