Practice Setting

• Inpatient hospital environment
• Average daily census of 7 patients
• CVU team assists with rounding and patient communication
• Cardiology referrals for surgical management

Schedule

• Friday 10:00 AM to Monday 5:00 AM
• 30-minute response time for emergent cases
• Additional future multi-day stretches possible
• No long-term full-time commitment required

Cases and Procedures

• CABG management and surgical intervention
• Post-operative cardiothoracic care
• AM rounding with as-needed follow-ups
• Average 3 calls per weekend

Requirements

• Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery
• Active Illinois license or IMLC (LOQ) on hand
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA

Travel Accommodations

• Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage covered
