Practice Setting

• Inpatient hospital setting
• Daily census around 7 patients
• CVU team supports rounding and patient questions
• 3 admissions per shift on average

Schedule

• Friday 10am to Monday 5am
• Weekend call only, 30-minute response time
• No long-term commitment

Cases and Procedures

• CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting); case log required
• Post-op cardiothoracic management
• Referrals from Cardiology
• AM rounding and as-needed visits for changes in condition

Requirements

• Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery
• Active Illinois license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA
• Clean background required

Credentialing

• 120 days for full privileges
• Temporary privileges available
