Critical Care Physician Assistant - Pennsylvania - No Call

Block-scheduled CVICU opportunity in Hershey, Pennsylvania, at a leading academic medical center with advanced cardiac technology and intensivist support.

Highlights

• 3 shifts per week (13 hours each)
• Block scheduling for long stretches off
• Level I Trauma Center, 30-bed cardiovascular ICU
• No call required

Practice Setting

• Inpatient CVICU within a major academic hospital
• Support from two APPs per shift and full intensivist team
• Dedicated rounding assignments, no cross-coverage
• Cerner charting system

Schedule

• Shifts are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.
• Includes weekends and major holidays
• Consistent need through March 2026

Procedures and Cases

• VA and VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant management
• Arterial and central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, IABP removal
• Postoperative care and daily rounding for critically ill cardiac patients

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania license (IMLC not accepted)
• Board Certified in Critical Care
• ACLS and BLS required
• Prior CVICU experience with advanced cardiac support devices
