Practice Setting

• Inpatient hospital-based role
• No teaching or APP supervision
• Athena and Cerner EMR systems

Schedule

• Monday–Friday clinic, 8a–5p
• Beeper call from 5p–8a and weekends (1:3 ratio)
• Callback rate: ~20%

Cases and Procedures

• Endoscopy, colonoscopy, GI bleeds, obstructions
• Common GI emergencies (e.g., liver failure, pancreatitis)
• ERCP and advanced scopes preferred but not required

Requirements

• Board-certified in Gastroenterology
• Active North Carolina license required
• BLS certification required
