OB/GYN Opportunity in Knoxville, Tennessee | Academic Medical Center

Join a hospital-employed OB/GYN group within a major academic medical center serving more than one million people across East Tennessee. This opportunity combines a full-scope practice with strong specialty support, advanced surgical resources, and the infrastructure of a tertiary referral center.

Position Highlights

  • Full-scope OB/GYN with an approximately 50/50 split between obstetrics and gynecology
  • Level I Trauma Center with a Level III NICU
  • MFM team of 8 physicians and 3 fellows
  • Clinic, triage, L&D, and ORs all co-located
  • Dedicated OB/GYN surgical suites with accessible robotic block time
  • Clinic volume of 20–28 patients per day
  • Approximately 10–12 deliveries per month
  • Optional outreach clinic opportunities
  • Physicians manage their own surgery schedules

Schedule & Call

  • 2–3 clinic days per week
  • 4 overnight in-house shifts per month, ranging from 12–15 hours
  • OB hospitalist support
  • Day of and day after call protected from clinic duties

Compensation & Benefits

  • $280,000 base salary in year one, increasing to $300,000 by year three
  • $5,500 wRVU threshold with total earning potential up to $530,000
  • $20,000 annual quality bonus
  • 32 days of PTO inclusive of CME, vacation, and sick leave
  • PSLF-eligible employer
  • 403(b) and 457 retirement plans with a 10% employer contribution

Candidate Requirements

  • MD or DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
  • Comfort with full-scope OB/GYN care in a high-volume academic setting
