You’ve built your skillset - now step into a practice where joint volume is ready from day one and your long-term voice matters. This is a Total Joint Orthopaedic Surgery position with a clear path to partnership in an independent, physician-led group. If you’re looking for autonomy, efficient OR access, and the option to build something you can own, let’s talk.

Practice Overview

  • You’ll join an established orthopaedic team with subspecialty colleagues (total joints, trauma, hand/upper extremity, sports medicine, non-op sports)
  • Independent, physician-led model with a practice-owned ASC plus hospital OR access
  • On-site resources include PT, walk-in ortho clinic, imaging, and guaranteed OR block time
  • Case mix is primarily total joints (about 70–80%) with some general ortho (fractures/walk-in volume); revisions and shoulder arthroplasty available

Schedule

  • Typical split is about 50/50 clinic and surgery with 2–3 clinic days and 2–2.5 OR days per week
  • Call is approximately 1:5 weekends, with additional trauma coverage handled by contracted surgicalists for much of the month
  • Hospital is about 5 minutes from clinic, and call is intentionally structured to help you build your practice early

Compensation & Benefits

  • Guaranteed base salary with collections-based productivity upside
  • Time off includes 6 weeks PTO plus 9 federal holidays, plus CME: $3,000 and 2 weeks
  • Relocation assistance up to $10,000; malpractice covered with tail included
  • Partnership eligible after 2 years

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction/Total Joints preferred
  • Comfortable maintaining some general orthopaedics alongside a high-volume joint practice
  • Interested in long-term practice growth, partnership, and being a steady presence in the community

Community & Location Highlights

  • Central Wisconsin community with a short commute and easy access to outdoor recreation year-round
  • Family-friendly feel with strong local amenities and a range of housing options
  • Regional travel access for quick getaways and visiting family, without living in a major metro
  • Balanced lifestyle that supports building a busy surgical practice while keeping time for life outside the OR
