## Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Opportunity in El Paso, TX

Practice Overview
- You’ll join an academic-affiliated pediatric program with multidisciplinary support and access to national cooperative group trials (COG)
- Team includes dedicated outpatient/inpatient support staff (MA/RN) plus 3 NPs
- Broad scope: new diagnoses (~80/year), survivorship, benign heme (sickle cell/hemophilia), and oncology care across inpatient and clinic/infusion
- Procedures include bone marrow aspiration/biopsy, LPs with intrathecal chemo, transfusion management, and coordination of ports/central lines
Schedule
- 0.9 clinical FTE with approximately 1,872 clinical hours/year
- Alternating ambulatory/infusion and inpatient service blocks for variety and continuity
- Specialty call: approximately 1 week per month
- EMR: Cerner; full diagnostic support on-site (lab, pathology, imaging)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary starting at $300,000 (with additional incentives structured around productivity and/or quality/retention)
- Sign-on bonus starting at $15,000
- CME allowance: $5,000 plus standard paid time off package
- Occurrence-based malpractice coverage; relocation assistance available; eligibility for federal/state loan forgiveness programs due to service area
Candidate Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. (or equivalent foreign medical degree)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (fellows considered, including upcoming graduates)
- Comfort with core heme/onc procedures (BMA/Bx, LP with intrathecal chemotherapy) and inpatient consultative care
- Interest in teaching and academic participation preferred; faculty appointment aligned with experience
