Practice Setting
- Inpatient setting.
- Work in an Acute psychiatric unit/institute with 22 beds.
- See an average of 10-12 patients per shift.
- No required supervision of Advance Practice Providers or Residents/Teaching.
- The ratio of follow-up to new evaluations is 10:1.
Schedule
- Flexible schedule available—you pick the shift-based dates that work for you.
- Coverage is for Scheduled Clinical Hours Only (Days, 8:00 AM start time).
- No Admissions Required.
Procedures and Cases
- Required Clinical Areas include Anxiety, Affective, ADD/ADHD, Personality, Eating, Development, Psychotic, and Organic disorders.
- Treatment techniques include Pharmacotherapy, Group therapy, Family therapy, and ECT.
- Familiarity With Involuntary commitments, Seclusion therapy, and Restraint application.
Requirements
- Physician Board Certified in Psychiatry - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- MUST be Child and Adolescent Certified.
- Active MA License is required to bid on this locums role.
- Required Certifications include ACLS , BLS , PALS , and ABLS.
Credentialing Requirements
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe is 60 days.
- Temporary privileges are available to speed up the process.
