Hematology-Oncology Physician - Join Our Dynamic Team

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist for full-time locum coverage. The position involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient care, managing a typical Heme/Onc caseload of around 15 patients per day. Bone marrow biopsies are optional but preferred.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Call Requirements: 1 weekend per month (primarily phone calls, Friday night through Monday morning)

Key Details:

• Licensure: Will wait for license
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS required
• Setting: Community-based cancer center with 18 chemo infusion chairs and 2 non-chemo infusion chairs
• Support Staff: RNs, MAs, and APPs (2 NPs in their first year of practice)
• Charting: Cerner EMR
• Patient Volume: 15 patients per day
• Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies (preferred but optional)
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days

Additional Information:

• The department includes 2 MDs and 3 NPs, with radiation oncology services available onsite.
• The physician will consult with both ambulatory and hospitalized patients.
• The ideal candidate is available for ongoing coverage and willing to participate in outreach to neighboring clinics.
