Pediatric Emergency Medicine locums coverage in Arizona with a multi campus ED and urgent care footprint, including the state’s only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. Mix of days, evenings, and minimal nights across 7, 8, and 10 hour shifts, weekends included.

Practice Setting

  • 100% pediatric patient population
  • Coverage may include the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Arizona, plus Level 4 sites
  • Annual ED volumes by campus, 75k, 55k, 30k, and a new site projected at 20k in year one
  • Clinical focus includes management of critically ill neonates with neurologic, surgical, cardiac, and complex multisystem conditions

Schedule

  • Combination of 7 hour, 8 hour, and 10 hour shifts
  • Shift mix includes days, evenings, and minimally nights
  • Weekends are part of the schedule

Cases and Procedures

  • Management of critically ill neonate
  • Endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, chest tube placement
  • Umbilical arterial catheter placement, umbilical venous catheter placement
  • Peripheral arterial line or stick

Requirements

  • Must be an MD or DO
  • Arizona medical license or IMLC
  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine, board certified or board eligible within 5 years
  • ATLS, BLS, DEA, PALS required
