We are seeking a Pediatrician to join our healthcare team in Hancock, Michigan, an area celebrated for its natural beauty, freshwater lakes, and premier skiing destinations. This outpatient position offers a rewarding career and active lifestyle within a supportive community.

### Practice Environment

  • Team: The team is supportive, with new graduates receiving significant support and mentorship - 5 Pediatricians, 2 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners
  • Collaboration: The group meets monthly for continued education and to discuss practice procedures
  • Support Staff: The practice has nurse practitioners who handle first call and most neonatal related situations
  • Transfers: High-risk deliveries are transferred out if needed - anything below 36 weeks gestation is typically transferred out as well

### Schedule & Call

  • Schedule: Outpatient practice - Monday to Friday schedule with an option for four 10-hour days
  • Patient Volume: 13-16 patients per day with 30 min appointments
  • Call Frequency: Pediatricians cover second call, with first call handled by nurse practitioners
  • Call Volume: On-call pediatricians receive an average of two parent calls and one infant call per night - on average, there is one delivery per 24-hour shift

### Compensation & Benefits

  • Two-Year Guarantee: Two-year salary guarantee of $250,000
  • On-Call Pay: Current pediatricians makes an additional $40,000 in on-call pay
  • Total Compensation: Total compensation expected to be around $300,000 to $320,000
  • Sign-On Bonus: $65,000
  • Benefits: 30 Days PTO plus holidays, and comprehensive benefits with malpractice
  • Loan Repayment: The position qualifies for various student loan repayment options
