True 24-hour in-house call coverage with overnight midwife support creates a structured and predictable inpatient schedule. This assignment focuses on labor and delivery, triage, and emergency gynecologic care.

Practice & Cases

• Inpatient-only Obstetrics and Gynecology coverage
• Labor and delivery triage, emergency department gynecology consults, and inpatient care
• Vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C procedures, and emergency gynecologic surgeries
• Midwives and physician assistants provide overnight support without requiring physician supervision

Schedule

• 24-hour call shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Primary call remains in-house for the full shift
• Multiple shift blocks available throughout the summer
• One business day of orientation required before starting

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Michigan license preferred; open to Interstate Medical Licensure Compact physicians with an active Letter of Qualification
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
