Locums Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician in Michigan - 24-Hour Call Shifts, EPIC EMR

Locums OB/GYN coverage in Michigan with 24 hour in house call and dedicated overnight L&D support from midwives and PAs. You will cover inpatient OB/GYN, L&D triage, and ED GYN consults.

• Nightly L&D support, midwives and 3 PAs on the floor, midwives call you only if needed
• Average department delivery volume runs about 3 to 4 deliveries per day
• Will consider IMLC, will wait for license with an active IMLC LOQ

Practice Setting

• Inpatient OB/GYN coverage, labor and delivery triage, and emergency department GYN consults
• Patient mix includes adult and adolescent females across the OB/GYN spectrum, plus newborns for circumcisions
• Support staff includes 3 PAs and midwives on the L&D floor nightly, midwives act independently and do not require formal supervision
• No requirement to supervise APPs

Schedule

• 24 hour call shifts
• Primary call is in house, must remain on the hospital floor for the full shift, call rooms available
• Secondary call can be taken from the hotel, must check in at the hospital each morning at 7:00 AM
• One business day of orientation prior to start

Cases and Procedures

• Vaginal deliveries and C sections
• D&C, emergency GYN surgeries, tubal ligations
• Laparoscopy and laparotomy
• Reading NSTs, circumcisions preferred but not required

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Michigan license required, will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only, open to IMLC Physicians
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS
