Practice Overview

  • You’ll join a tightly knit team of 5 psychiatric nurse practitioners and a part-time psychiatrist at a well-established outpatient clinic focused on depression, anxiety, and addiction treatment
  • Practice model emphasizes advanced treatments, including TMS, Spravato, and ketamine, with no schizophrenia or bipolar cases
  • Leadership duties include medical oversight, mentorship, and 4+ hours/week for administrative projects
  • On-site presence needed for TMS motor threshold assessments and to guide clinical standards

Schedule

  • Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with dedicated time for admin and lunch
  • Flexible for a four-day workweek or hybrid days for the right candidate (e.g., single parents, commuting professionals)
  • Generous visit times: 60-minute new intakes and 30-minute follow-ups; support staff handles administrative load
  • Telepsychiatry is available based on patient needs and your preferences

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary in the $330,000–$380,000+ range, depending on experience, aligned with MGMA benchmarks
  • Medical Director stipend adds ~$25,000+ annually; $25K–$50K signing bonus tied to 2–3 year commitment
  • 4 weeks of PTO, $2,000 CME allowance, occurrence-based malpractice with tail, and relocation/licensure support
  • While medical benefits are modest, the group offers flexibility in other areas to ensure overall compensation meets your needs

Candidate Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry; both new grads and seasoned psychiatrists welcome
  • Comfort with interventional psychiatry (or willingness to learn), including TMS and ketamine protocols
  • Must be able to provide clinical supervision and serve as an anchor presence for the team
  • Preference for candidates with South Dakota or regional ties, or a clear desire to live in the Black Hills area
