General Anesthesiology Locums, California – High-Acuity, Teaching Environment

This Long Beach-based opportunity offers a full mix of general anesthesia cases with flexible scheduling and fast credentialing.

Highlights

• Start date as early as October 2025
• Full-time or 1+ week per month
• Cross-credentialing at 3 affiliated hospitals

Practice Setting

• Physician-only model; no CRNAs or AAs
• Academic-level environment with anesthesia residents
• Based at Long Beach Memorial, Miller Women’s & Children’s, and Saddleback
• 25 anesthetizing sites, including 23 ORs

Schedule

• Approx. 45 hours/week, day shifts
• Call required: weekday 1:10, weekend 1:5, OB in-house
• Post-call day off always provided
• 8 weeks off/year built into the schedule

Cases and Procedures

• Wide mix: trauma, neuro, ortho, OB, outpatient surgery
• Also includes NORA, endo, cath lab, and IR
• Cardiac and pediatric cardiac not required
• OB fellowship or high-acuity OB experience preferred

Requirements

• Board-certified in Anesthesiology
• California license required
• ACLS and PALS required
