    Practice Setting

    • Hospital-based environment with clinic backup support
    • NP covers clinic and rounds with surgeon on weekdays
    • Dedicated CT/CV surgeon office with RNFA and nurse support
    • Adult patient population only
    • Mix of consults and surgical volume

    Schedule

    • Weeklong blocks: Mon–Thurs 8a–5p, Fri 8a–4p
    • Includes weeknight and 24-hour weekend call
    • NP provides primary coverage during clinic hours
    • Locum covers inpatient consults, rounds, and emergent cases

    Procedures and Cases

    • Required: Cardiac (open heart), thoracic (chest surgery)
    • Preferred: Vascular (AAA bypass), TAVR, valve replacements, thoracotomies
    • Chest tube placement and endarterectomies as needed

    Requirements

    • Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery (CAQ required)
    • BLS certification
    • 36 months of experience
    • Open to IMLC physicians with active LOQ

    Credentialing Requirements

    • 60–90 day timeframe
    • Will wait for licensure with active IMLC LOQ

    Travel Accommodations
