Chair of the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital - Florida

The Executive & Academic Search team with Doximity Talent Solutions has partnered with Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida on the national search for an experienced academic leader to serve as theChair, Department of Pediatric Medicine for this nationally regarded academic children’s hospital. The Chair will be responsible for the leadership, management, and development of the Department of Pediatric Medicine. This Chair will provide vision, leadership, and accountability in fulfilling the research, administrative, and educational missions of Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. This position is a full- time faculty appointment at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments.

The incoming Chair will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the Department of Pediatric Medicine. You will be a visionary and strategic leader, guiding the department's research, administrative, and educational missions. A key part of this role is to expand upon the department’s academic transformation by recruiting new high-caliber faculty and mentoring the existing team to increase scholarly activity, collaborative research, and extramural funding.

We are looking for a highly regarded clinician with a strong background in academic medicine, recognized for your achievements in pediatric medicine. You must be board-certified in pediatrics, eligible for a Florida medical license, and have a track record of publications and peer-reviewed research funding.

In addition to your academic leadership, you will drive the operational direction of the clinical functions of the department, working closely with the Chief Nursing Officer to manage clinical staffing, service models, and departmental finances. This is a unique opportunity to lead a growing department at a nationally recognized academic children's hospital.
