** Practice Setting**

• Inpatient cardiothoracic surgery unit

• Solo overnight coverage

  • Surgeon available on call
  • No clinic or OR duties
• Support from a daytime team of physicians

** Schedule**

• 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)

  • 7 shifts every 2 weeks preferred
  • Rotating 3/4 weekly schedule

• Full-time, ongoing assignment until perm hire

** Procedures and Cases**

• No procedures required
• Discharge planning focus and prepping patient paperwork
• Night coverage for patient stayovers

** Requirements**

• Physician Assistant license in NC
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
• 2 years of experience required
