Practice Overview

  • You’ll join a long-established, physician-owned ophthalmology group with experienced operational leadership
  • Comprehensive medical and surgical ophthalmology with strong referral relationships across the region
  • High cataract volume focus; ramp to approximately 700 surgeries in year one and up to 1,000 in year two
  • Modern diagnostics and surgical planning tools in place (OCT, visual fields, Optos imaging, and advanced IOL planning workflow)

Schedule

  • Typical model: 4 clinic days and 1 dedicated OR day per week
  • Clinic hours generally align with 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on clinic days; busy days can reach up to ~40 patients
  • One day at an outpatient surgery center with the ability to perform ~18–20 cases per day
  • Call is shared: ER call coverage during weekdays/business hours with no night/weekend ER call; separate office call rotates among a larger group

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary $325,000 - $425,000 plus sign-on, retention bonus, and relocation support
  • 24-month partnership track
  • 5 weeks PTO plus 6 paid holidays; $5,000 CME allowance and licensure reimbursement
  • Health insurance, malpractice coverage, disability, and 401(k) with 3% match

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology
  • Comfortable with high-volume cataract surgery (refractive experience welcomed)
  • Open to new graduates and experienced physicians
  • No visa sponsorship available
