Practice Setting

  • 250-bed hospital
  • 10-bed ICU
  • Inpatient only — no clinic responsibilities
  • Level 3 trauma designation

Schedule

  • On-call coverage only — weekday and weekend blocks
  • Monday–Friday 5pm–7am, Saturday–Sunday 24-hour call
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Estimated 3–4 inpatient admissions per day

Procedures and Cases

  • Balloon angioplasties
  • Coronary angioplasty and PCI
  • Heart catheterization
  • Coronary and carotid artery stenting
  • Embolic protection

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Cardiology
  • Active VA license and DEA required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications

Credentialing Requirements

  • Estimated 60–90 day credentialing process
