Practice Setting
- Adult-only inpatient preventive care focused environment
- Team-based coverage model with 2 APs, 1 Med MD, Psychiatry support, psychologist, RNs, and techs
- Three inpatient units with 16 beds per unit, shared coverage so you will not see every patient every day
- Higher-risk cases are transferred to a hospital
Schedule
- Weekend coverage blocks available, with additional weekends opening on an ongoing basis
- Day shift structure, 8am to 5pm
- No call responsibilities attached to the assignment
Cases and Procedures
- Light wound care as needed
- Broad adult inpatient conditions and general medical responsibilities within a preventive care setting
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine accepted
- Board Certified, Board Eligible, or Board Eligible within 5 years
- Active North Carolina license required, facility will not wait for license
Workflow and Documentation
- Paper charting with option to dictate into a Word document
- Epic planned to go live in the future
