Practice Setting
- Inpatient emergency department
- Average annual volume ~19,000
- Average volume per 24 hours: ~51 patients
- Work alongside experienced APPs and sign off on APP cases
Schedule
- Day shifts only — 7a-7p
- Minimum 5 shifts per month — you choose your availability
- Ongoing assignment — 6+ months preferred
- Block scheduling options possible
Procedures and Cases
- Mix of pediatric, adult, and geriatric cases
- Includes trauma and emergent care
- Common procedures: intubation, chest tubes, central lines, reductions, aspirations, laceration repair, and I&D
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) in Emergency Medicine
- Active Pennsylvania license required
- Must have ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS
- Minimum 24 months of EM experience
