Practice Setting
- Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding and consults once credentialed
- Primarily adult and geriatric orthopedic trauma population, occasional pediatric ortho may occur
- Case mix includes fracture management, acute joint injuries, post op follow ups, and inpatient orthopedic consults
- Strong support, clinic medical assistants and cast techs plus an inpatient trauma team with board-certified orthopedic traumatologists
Schedule
- Target coverage is Tuesday through Friday, 4 days per week
- Daytime clinic hours with rounding and consult duties as applicable
- No call coverage required
Cases and Procedures
- Basic outpatient ortho procedures including joint aspirations, injections, splinting and casting, and wound management
- Inpatient bedside procedures and surgical assisting may be available after hospital privileging; confirm OR first assist expectations
Requirements
- Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Board Certified
- Active Georgia license required
- Comfort with orthopedic trauma and fracture care in clinic and inpatient consult settings
