  • ** Overview:**

    An Alabama-based medical center is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for ongoing monthly coverage throughout 2024 and 2025.

    ** Schedule:**

    • Primarily overnight shifts on long weekends (ex: Fri-Mon) or sporadic weekdays, averaging 9-10 hour shifts
    • Approximately 4-8 shifts per month; shifts may vary in length and frequency
    • Anticipated start in October. Quicker credentialing processing is possible for clean backgrounds

    ** Practice Setting and Assignment:**

    • Approximately 50,000 annual ED visits, averaging around 4,100 patients monthly
    • Supported by a team of physicians providing 53 hours of coverage weekly, complemented by 44 hours of advanced practice clinician support
    • Level 3 Trauma Center

      • Primarily adult patient population with a pediatric component

    ** Cases and Procedures:**

    • Requires ability to manage a broad spectrum of emergency department cases, including moderate sedation procedures

    ** Requirements:**

    • Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine
    • Active AL license + CLS, BLS, DEA, PALS, CSC

      • NPDB within the past 30 days

    ** Travel and Lodging:**

    • Rental car, flight, and lodging are fully covered!
    • International airport within 1 hour of the facility
